Baile Herculane is a city located in southwestern Romania, on Cerna Valley, between the Cerna Mountains and Mehedinti Mountains at an altitude of about 160 m, at a distance of about 41 km from Drobeta Turnu Severin. The oldest resort in Romania - Baile Herculane dates since Roman times, being known as' The sacred waters of Hercules "(mentioned in documents as a resort in 153 before Christ).
