Sarata - Monteoru is a small resort located in Buzau County, a scenic and relaxing place, suitable for a quiet holiday or for treatment. Sarata - Monteoru resort is located at 20 km north-west from the city of Buzau, in a hilly area, covered by rich vegetation and away from the wind. The resort has salt mineral springs, with iodine, bromine, calcium, magnesium and sulfur. In the area you can visit the muddy volcanoes of Berca, Ciolanu and Ratesti monasteries or the amber museum.
