Bran Castle - it is said that this castle was the residence of the Romanian prince Vlad Tepes who was known as Count Dracula. Around there were many legends; the most famous of them said that this castle was the residence of a vampire. It is an important national monument and landmark in Romania's tourism, both because of his beauty, landscape and legend of Count Dracula, whose spirit still haunts these ancient places. The first documentary attestation of Bran fortress dates from November 19th 1377, when Louis I of Hungary addressed a letter to Brasov by granting them certain privileges. Although not known precisely the time when it was built, is likely to have started work in spring 1378. The city was conceived as a complex military role but also the role of the customs office. Essential changes of the castle took place in 1622-1625, according to the plans of Prince Gabriel Bethlen of Transylvania, when they built a new wing true and fit into the current.
