The village of Leresti belongs to Arges County. It is situated at 5 km away from Campulung Muscel, on the road leading to Rausor Lake.
The Rausor dam is arranged on the Targul River; it is a concrete dam with double curvature made of 22 vertical studs, with a height of 166.60 meters and a canopy of 307 feet in length.
