Fundata is a locality in Brasov County, situated at an altitude of 1360 meters, being the highest village in the country. It is located in the middle of Rucar-Bran passage, surrounded by the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains.
Near Fundata, you can visit the many natural tourist attractions: Moeciu Gorges, Gradistei Gorges, Dambovicioara Gorges, Piatra Craiului National Park, Zarnesti Precipices, the natural reservations from Chisatoare, Dambovicioara Cave, the Bat Cave in the village of Pestera, the village of Sirnea.
You can also visit here the monument dedicated to the heroes fallen in World War I: the Monument of the Roman Heroes who died in the First World War (built in memory of George Poenaru Bordea.
