Description of the destination
Blidari is a village in the county of Maramures, at about 18 km from Baia Mare. Blidari lies in the foothills of Ignis Mountains.
Both the village of Blidari and the entire county of Maramures is an area where ancient traditions, folk costumes and ancient art are preserved like nowhere else in Romania. Therefore the vital component of tourism in Maramures is the life of the village. Wooden churches and carved wooden gates are true masterpieces of folk art, present in every village in Maramures.
The recreation area designed for fishermen is the Firiza Lake that offer various fish species, such as carp, catfish, lake trout, bream, clean, lay, perch.
Blidari village is also known because of the stone quarries (andesite).
